I agonized over whether or not to buy these boots. I wanted boots that I could wear all day without my feet hurting, and I wasn't sure these would do that. They felt okay out of the box, but the top of the boot felt slightly tight around the upper part of my foot, near the instep. I don't have high arches or insteps or anything. Plenty of room in the toe-box, and although they are high, they didn't immediately feel like a high heel (no pressure on the toes, no scrunching). I finally got up the nerve to wear them out, and I am so pleased now. I have worn them for two days running errands, shopping, walking around, working, and my feet feel just fine. I am not a high heel person and can't stand pressure on the balls of my feet (I mostly wear sneakers or my Keen boots), and although these are quite high they did not feel at all like high heels, even after a whole day. Typical Jambu footbed - looks like a heel, feels like a sneaker. The tightness around the instep that I worried about didn't bother me at all. I haven't tried sightseeing or hiking or anything like that in them, but they are definitely okay for a day of running errands and being on one's feet, even for a non-heel-tolerant person like me. Also very stable, so I don't feel like I'm tottering and I can walk completely normally, carry my toddler, chase my toddler, etc. I have the beige color, which looks good with jeans. I've been wearing them tucked in. I like that they look good with "straight-leg" skinny jeans, not just "jeggings," and a little extra fabric in the knee area doesn't make them look funny. The shaft is a great height for a short person - I am 5'2" and have trouble finding boots that don't come up too high. These are the perfect shaft height. I found them to be true to size, but a half size bigger than the other Jambu's I have, which tend to run a half size small. I am normally an 8 (7.5 in Jambu sandals), and I tried these in an 8 and 8.5 and went with the 8. Some of my other boots are 8.5 because I like them looser so I can wear with socks, but these were better in 8, especially because the shaft is a bit higher in 8.5 and the lower shaft of the 8 looked better. I can wear with stockings or thin socks, but not thick socks. As for the calf width, they are perfect on me. I don't have really average calves, and these have enough room for jeans without any gaping. The tie in the front is actually a working adjustment, and can make the boots fit more or less tightly around the calves. All in all, I really love these. I have gotten compliments on them, and they make me feel kind of tall and glamorous without feeling awkward and having painful feet. Fans of Jambu shoes should find these as comfortable as most other Jambus.

All I can say is bummer because these are some of the cutest boots I have ever seen but OMG when I pulled them on they were so narrow in the toes that my feet went numb! The heel fit was normal but the toe fit was painful. A larger size would be too big in the heel and slip so I had to return them.

I really love Jambu shoes, so I was happy to purchase these really cute-looking boots. They arrived last night and I was really disappointed. The fit was so uncomfortable across instep seam they were unwearable after only a few minutes. In fact, I looked to make sure I had removed all the cardboard! I had. Sadly I had to box them back up and send them back to Zappos.

Beautiful boot right out of the box. Love the leather braid trim and the soles look nice and safe=grippy. Can't wait to go out and give them a test drive!

I am really glad I bought this boot. At first the boot was really tight on, but after I walked around for a minute, it felt much better. A very comfortable boot with a little different edge. If you try it on, give it a few minutes. You will end up loving them. I did.

Very nice boot. Comfortable the first time I wore them. Look great with skinny jeans! Buy 1/2 size larger than usual.

I buy based on comfort first, looks second. These are absolutely beautiful on and amazingly light weight and super comfy. I've noticed that Jambus run a half size small. I'll def buy Jambus again.

These boots are beautiful, absolutely gorgeous! With the light color leather and suede, they are obviously not made for roughing it in the rain, but I knew that. in true Jambu style they are very comfortable and easy to walk in. Only downside is that in the front, where the leather changes to the grey suede they feel a bit snug, That makes it difficult to get your foot into them. I actually couldn't get my naked foot in and had to put on a very thin nylon sock to manage. Once you're in it's fine- albeit a bit snug still. Might be worth going up 1/2 a size.

These boots run true to size both length and width. They are comfortable. The only negative is that it is difficult to get a knit sock past the suede part of the boot. I had no problem with the height of the arch as one other reviewer did.

I was a bridesmaid and instructed to wear silver shoes for the wedding. These were about as comfortable as stilettos are. They got sore after a few hours, but only because I was on my feet so much, not because they were rubbing or causing blisters. They help up well and I'll wear them again, which is more than I can say for my ugly bridesmaid dress!
