This jacket works well as flattering street-wear, but I haven't gone snowboarding in it yet. My only concern is that the bottom cuff and the wrist cuffs would absorb snow and be wet very quickly. The fit runs very small in the hips, and the sleeves run short, so I had to size up and get a medium (I'm 5'1", 115 lbs). It's a well-made coat, not too bulky, and the little details are well-placed. Glad I bought it.
