For a long time, I've been needing a comfortable pair of walking shoes that can tolerate long days of urban exploration but can transition to going indoors to a nice restaurant or bar. Nothing makes me feel frumpier in New York City -- or any city -- than white sneakers. I have wide, flat feet, Achilles issues, and bunions (is there a word that goes beyond "trifecta" to include four things that make shoe buying a pain?), so my podiatrist suggested clogs. I'd been avoiding making a purchase for a while because good clogs are expensive. However, these are worth every penny. The size 40, on me (a true size 8.5 who often goes up to 9 or 9.5 due to width) can accommodate up to a medium thickness sock (e.g., Smart Wool), stay on my feet snugly, and offer amazing arch support. I recently wore them for several long days of walking around New York in winter, and they even kept my feet warm in 30 degree temps, though I can't say they're recommended for snow. The blue/gray color looks great with jeans, extending the leg, which is an added bonus for a short girl like me. (I also didn't want something heavy and dark like black or brown.) I have only two criticisms of this shoe: the top part rubs against the top of my foot a bit at times (but is a discomfort that I am soon able to ignore), and they're not great shoes for long flights. While they're a dream when going through security checkpoints, they are still pretty thick leather, which means that if you leave them on your feet during a flight and your feet swell, you're going to feel it. They're less forgiving than sneakers in that regard. (And forget about removing them altogether during the flight; you'll never get them back on.) A smart traveler would pack a pair of light socks to change into for the flight in order to leave a little extra space. Overall, I like these shoes a lot. They address several problems at once, and I got compliments on them from a few people, who said "Now I want clogs!" and "Those look just like boots!" They really are pretty funky, and I feel European wearing them. I will probably get them in a second color since my feet are so picky and I need to hoard the few shoe models that actually work for me.

Love these shoes. I have several pairs of Dansko clogs so the comfort was no surprise to me. They are blue with a little metallic gray thrown in so they look great with jeans.

Love this style! If you are already a Dansko fan, then I don't have to tell you how comfortable and fantastic these are. So let's talk color. I ordered all 3 colors in this style! Mulberry, Crepe & Bronze. I kept the Crepe and the Bronze. The Crepe is a fabulous neutral, dark greyish, but with a two tone lived in teal shimmer to it. Really unique. You definitely see a bright blue teal within the grey. These would go well with anything you usually wear black shoes for. I love these! The Mulberry is kind of similar to the Crepe. I thought I would love the Mulberry, who wouldn't love purple shoes?! They are nice, a dark purple, would also go with anything you wear black shoes with. But for me, I didn't want to keep 2 pairs that were so similar, so I chose the Crepe over the purple. I actually thought the Crepe looked more unique and different than the Mulberry. Bronze is a gorgeous shade of, well, Bronze! It's also a two tone type of golden brown bronze color with a dark brown sole. Great neutral color when black is too heavy. Also matches skin tone well, so with cropped pants or skirts it looks nice, elongates the leg. Really love this color.

This fits me perfectly as sometimes I need to have one of my professionals stretched due to a cranky foot. The fit felt nearly like slippers, so comfy at the get go, so no breaking in. The mulberry isn't really purple as some have stated so I like to think it's my "New" black!

If you are on your feet for 10 hours a day, or more, you will find no better shoe than Dansko, period. I am in retail and on my feet all day, every day. I have tried every other brand out there, and always come back to Dankso. If you are considering shoes for work, or leisure for that matter, look no further. Do yourself a favor, don't spend the money on any other brand, they just do not have the superior support you get from Dansko.

The color is the same as shown in picture. The leather is soft. I wore the shoes for my full 12 shift the first day.

This shoe feels comfortable like all Danskos. The crepe sole is subtle (I was afraid it would be too "rough" and casual looking). The purple distressed finish is just a little too odd to justify paying this much for a pair of shoes I probably won't wear that often, so they are going back. If you like funky shoes, however, these fit the bill!

Fabulous, just plain fabulous. Perfect fit the first time, covers an injured toe but gives feet plenty of air. Comfort is incredible. I take either an 8.5 or a 9. This was a 9 and it's great. Mephistos need to be one size up in most cases.

Search no more! Absolutely the best sandal made! Great comfort and toe protection. It is almost impossible to find a sandal with the toe covered. I own 15 pairs of Mephistos and these are the BEST

First, Zappos is the best; any problem encountered, they take care of you and fast. Second, I waited 10 years before spending this much on a pair of sandals that I had heard were great. 6 weeks ago I got the sandals, they are great but this morning I looked down and the buckle strap had pulled out of the side of the sandal. I am hoping this is just a 1 in a million breakdown in Mephisto quality control.

I bought these shoes for a trip to Europe in July. Very hot weather, yet my feet stayed comfortable. The footbed is soft, non sticky material, so moisture did not accumulate. I wore them everyday for three weeks, sometimes using socks for a change. No blisters or sore feet ever, and I did miles of walking everyday on paved surfaces. I ordered half a size longer, as the straps over the toe area sloped onto my big toe. That fit was a bit roomy, but still fine. I cannot recommend the Aida highly enough, and would love to have a pair in black. There is plenty of padding between feet and pavement, and decent support as well. These are great shoes. They are worth the price.

I love these shoes and am very unhappy I have to return them because the arches are too high for my low arches. Otherwise they are very comfortable. These shoes look much sleeker and cuter on in person than they do in the photo. They are so high quality and buttery soft and feel strong. I wish I could find another brand comparable in quality and fit but with a lower arch.

This is my second pair of this sandal. I had the first pair for about 10 years. These are just a tiny bit narrower, but then the ones I've been wearing are perfectly molded to my feet. These were just a bit too tight, I sprayed them with water, wore them out for a short day and now they are on their way to being a perfect fit. I work in the film industry and am on my feet 12-15 hours a day, they have a closed toe so I can wear them on set. Plus, my feet don't hurt in the morning. They are pricey, but worth every penny. I should have just spent the money on the one pair instead of trying to economize and buy 3 or 4 pairs of cheap shoes!

Repeat purchase - I couldn't locate these shoes locally and I wanted to replace a pair that had let me walk comfortably when traveling. I actually wore out my first pair. I noticed a few style changes and the shoe seemed more narrow--maybe less sloppy would describe the look. Zappo's gladly exchanged my order of size 8 for what I actually needed--a size 10. I'm usually a 9-9 1/2.

These are my favorite sandals. They are also the shoes I wear daily when it is warm. And, they look good! I do wish you could also offer them in black. A friend bought a pair in France, and I think they would be a good addition to your collection.
