I recently purchased this item from a local
Adidas factory outlet. Just for fun, I decided to look at the reviews after I had decided upon them. I was so surprised by what I read here that I felt compelled to give my review. First of all, I visited the
Nike Outlet,
Reebok outlet, and
Saucony outlet in addition to the
Adidas outlet, trying on about 15 pairs of shoes in all. I have wide feet, size 13 feet and a high arch, weight 200 lbs, and was looking for my 'everyday' sneaker. What I do agree with is that this isn't really
running shoe, nor if you read
Adidas' description is it really marketed at one: "
Gym, campus, work,
home ... Life never rests. Make the transition from one scene to the next all the more fluid with the Liquid 2 M from
Adidas." This shoe is an all-arounder and a great looking shoe. Of the 15 or so shoes I tried on, these were the most comfortable width wise, wider than all other
Adidas shoes I tried on. So I am very surprised to hear how narrow this shoe supposedly runs. I would say it is on-par with most, but has very accommodating fabric. They definitely don't look like clown shoes because they are so narrow! The liquid 2 M also runs true to size, in fact, larger than many of the
Nike size 13's I tried on. I couldn't even get into the
Nike Free series it was so tight in size 13! I also have a very hard time understanding how this could be such a 'hot' shoe; it has 360 degree ventilation. I haven't worn it enough to make judgment here, but just saying.
