This is a good looking casual shoe made with high-quality materials and workmanship. It has moderate cushioning, somewhere between a dress shoe and a running
shoe. Due to the shape of the insole and the last, it feels like it has been custom molded to your feet, yet there is ample wiggle room in the toe-box. I had been wondering for years when someone would actually make a shoe to fit the human foot and here it is. This is my first pair from Ecco
but it will not be my last, if they keep making them this way. There are a couple of things that you need to know about this shoe. One, it has virtually no heel, so when you walk, your stride is natural...as if you were barefoot. This is quite different from other shoes. I like it. It really appeals to the martial artist, yoga practitioner aspect of me. However, some people may be so accustomed to standing and walking on the incline provided by a heel that they may feel it is a little strange not to have one. Personally, I feel much more grounded. Ecco
intentionally designed it this way and I am glad that they did. So, "Natural Motion" really does mean something and it makes these shoes special! Also, the sizing is to be noted. The European sizing is true to size but the American sizing is not. My true US size is 10 (Euro size 43). I got the 9/9.5 Biom, which is Euro size 43. So, order your true Euro size, if you know it, or one size smaller for US sizing.
