I bought these for my granddaughter and as soon as she put them on she said "These are so comfortable Meme, I just love them!" Not only does she love them she wears them all the time. Thank you Zappos for getting them to her for Easter Sunday!

One of TB's best! I have been a fan of TB for a number of years and love their Kona suede lace-up sneakers; I have 4 pairs. I wear a size 10.5 shoe and my go-to shoes for years have always been made by Gucci. They just seem to fit me the best. I am also a D width and I have flat feet, so I use orthotics in my shoes. When I saw these First Mate boat shoes I was looking for a shoe style that would look good with shorts and that I did not have to wear socks with. I was really attracted to the look of this shoe. I ordered both the 10 and 10.5 even after reading all the very helpful reviews. When they came I tried on the 10 and that was it. I was in love; they fit like a glove. They have only a very slightly more generous last than the D width most of us are used to, but that is great because the sides don t roll. I do agree that they run about one half size larger and I think they only offer little to moderate arch support, but they look well made for a mass produced shoe. I suggest coating them with Meltonian Neutral Creme polish to help in preventing stains. I think customer reviews are really helpful so I hope my experience with these shoes will be helpful. I also ordered the navy nubuck First Mate slip-ons because I like these shoes so much.

Nice shoes if a bit heavy if you're used to driver's shoes. I wear size 13 normal width, but these are wider than usual. Great look, wish they were a bit sleeker.

Don't be fooled by the color - after 2 returns the color is not as dark as shown - in fact it not even close - more like tan than chocolate brown. Kept the shoes because I was leaving on vacation next day. They are very comfortable and true to size.
