The leather is soft and buttery but paper thin and the shoes have absolutely no body. Yes, they are comfortable because it is like wearing socks, they are that thin. But they will look beat up within a week. The heel is so thin and flat that it will wear down in no time and there would be no way to replace the nonexistent heel. Then what? All for quite a bit of money! Also, the leather across the front of the shoes is loose when you tie the laces. I definitely have to return them.

I was looking for soft, very simple black oxfords when I found these. They do come up over the anklebone but are soft enough that they don't rub at all. Nice waxed laces stay tied. Comfy to walk in at work although I have not been on my feet all day in these. Really nice shoes!

Highly recommend. Soft as moccasins but much cuter. Beautiful leather and a classic style. Sizing is generous, so consider ordering down half a size if you're uncertain.
