This is not warm enough for Chicago! The wind blows right through it and the down feels terribly underfilled. The zipper has never worked well and always sticks. I just could not get my act together to return it, despite Zappos' wonderful 365 day return policy (my fault). I bought it two years ago and it is time for something warmer. I cannot wear this coat when it is less than 35° out. I have been researching the Marmot and Canada Goose brand which is double the price, but worth it to me if it really works. Supposedly it is the brand researchers in Antartica wear. The Triple C by North Face is perfect if you are in a shopping mall for a couple of hours and need to take it off, wad it up into a ball and throw it in your purse while you shop. It fits very nicely into a suitcase too. It is a nice coat, just not warm enough for where I live.

It ran slightly large. It did not feel like it would be that warm. I really liked the green colorant it is a cute style. Zappos is so nice with returns so I was able to try a few coats and ended up keeping the marmot,

I ordered this jacket for a trip to Prague later this year. I tested it in Philadelphia in February and it definitely kept me warm enough. I love how light weight it is and how compact it becomes when I fold it up. I will have no challenges traveling with this in Europe. I ordered both a small and medium knowing that I could return either due to Zappos' great return policy. I am 5'3, about 130 lbs and the small fit me well...even with a bulky sweater underneath.

Best coat ever. When the temps drop in Chicago, full coverage is needed and this coat fist the bill. I am a teacher and I wear this coat when I have recess duty! Love it.

I'm using this as my everyday coat for the new jersey winter. I'm from Florida so I freeze everywhere. It's actually kept me pretty warm and I like the length. I gave a 3 for style because I wish it had a belt or something more girlie around the waist. Also the hood works perfect but it sure is ugly! I would definitely buy another one of these.. But maybe in a little better fashion.

This coat is a perfect fit for a size 12/14 or M/L knit dress person with comfort room when I ordered a North Face size Large. I am 5'6½" and the length is below my knees. There is no tightness or strain when the zipper is fully zipped and I am seated and while driving. It is very light and toasty warm in sub-zero weather in Michigan.

I live in California; however, I bought this coat because I was staying in the Seattle area for two weeks in February last year. Wow, was I ever glad I that invested in this garment! The weather proved to be cold and damp while I was visiting and I was wrapped in warmth the every time I wore the coat. The collar and full length made all the difference in the world. Thank you, North Face!

Nice coat for the west coast, where it never gets terribly cold. The material is a little shinier than it shows up in the images. The green is a beautiful color, regardless. I am 5'4" and an hourglass 145lbs -- the medium is nice and fitted without being too tight.

I really wanted to like and keep this jacket. Compared to other down coats I've seen, it was much longer (plus) and lighter weight/less bulky (plus). Turns out, there is a downside to those plusses...not as warm. There is very little if any down in the lower part of the sleeves which was the coldest part of the jacket. Overall, it is a great coat for temps about 30-40 with low wind. It is one of the most stylish down coats I've seen too. Unfortunately, for temps lower than 30 and high winds, it just didn't do the job like other bulkier coats do. It is an awesome coat to run errands in (shopping, etc) because you don't get overheated and it is very light in the car due to low bulk. The reason I got this coat though, was primarily for frigid, windy days. I debated whether to keep it for warmer winter days, but just couldn't justify another medium temp coat.

This coat is made for giants! I am 5'4" and 115, so neither freakishly short nor thin by any standards. The xs was like a clown outfit on me. In addition to the fact that the sleeves have no liner or cuff, they are about six inches too long. The body is not contoured at all and gaps all over the place. It's just huge! In short, if you are built like Angelina Jolie, this might work for you. If you are petite at all, the fit and cut are a complete disaster. I ordered four coats to try: the Triple C, the Patagonia Downtown, the Marmot Montreaux, and a Mountain Hardwear. (The Patagonia fits almost exactly like this one.) And I am sending this one back.

I love these pants! They fit great. I love how they sit on top of my shoes. Very tapered. The slim fit is nice. I love how the right front pocket, has internal pockets for change, keys or whatever you want. The seams are stitched very well, with good strong thread. The main enclosure is very good. 2 button top (front button metal/reverse button plastic) with a very tough medium gauge zipper. These pants are my favorite style at the moment. So much that I ordered the safari beige & black. I'm praying that the quality is matched between the colors. Great job! Dockers. Zappos? Well they always have great prices, massive selection and the best customer service on the planet. Which is why I took the time to write this review. You're the greatest, Zappos. Love, John

I got these in a size 34, which I thought would mean a slimmer fit in the leg, but it's actually quite baggy. I still like them, but I don't really use them for work like I would because of this, more like for biking, going to dark bars, etc. Disappointed, but not enough to return them.

Mediocre in style, comfort, and functionality. Come out of the dryer extremely wrinkled and need a very hard, heavy pressing to make them look even somewhat decent. Style and fit are not very sharp or snappy; they're okay, but just kind of blah. Also, this specific color is very hard to make work with a lot of colors of shirts, so you may find them of limited use, not an everyday item.
