I once owned a pair of Le Chameau boots, and remembered how stylish they looked. The Cavaliere boot is true to its name: it looks like a horse-riding boot. I ordered them in chocolate brown, because they were a bit cheaper than the black ones, and I was happily surprised. The color was a dark brown, and the boot is elegant and a wonderful fit. I am a size 9, but ordered size 10 so that I could wear orthotics, because I have a high arch, and the boot fits perfectly. I can also tug in some jeans, with some effort, but it works, which surprised me as well, given the slim look of these boots. Originally, I had ordered Country All Tracks in size 9, but were too small (and I don't have large feet), so it was contrary to previous reviews. However, when the boot came in the right size, the discount was gone! So I'm happy with my Cavaliere boots, and have worn them in both rain and snow.

First of all, thanks to Zappos for a truly amazing service and delivery- less than 24 hrs from order to having the box in my living room. Now the rain boots. These too are amazing. I have spent so much time searching, trying and even buying rain boots that were clunky (Hunters), smelly (Ralph Lauren) or huge, heavy and smelly. These are like butter. Soft, odorless and classy. I have finicky feet, slim ankles and lean calves (14"). Finally, these boots fit like a glove at the top and thus do not bunch around my ankles. The riding-boot design is efficiently streamlined - no hefty soles, no huge and wide duck toes, yet with room for heavier socks. Classy, slim and in the chocolate (dark brown/black) very versatile. I am most often a size 38.5 in Euro and an 8 in US (Frye, for instance). Ordered a 38/7 (weird) in LeChameau sizing & Zappos fit guide, and the boot fits perfectly. The shaft is tall and makes my legs appear longer (at 5'5" a definite plus). Excellent value for the money invested. Love the rain boot, love the brand, love Zappos' service.

So chic! But ran a size too large, so I'm exchanging them for a size down. I'm 5'11" and they hit a couple inches below my knee, which is fine by me! I like them, fashion wise, much better than the ones just below them -- which were too rugged, like for hiking in muddy, mountain terrain. Looking forward to wearing them in Fall/Winter!

I normally wear a size 7.5 or 8, and these fit me perfectly in a size 6. The boots are great; however, they are too tight to tuck jeans into. I also like to pull my wellies off and on to take out the dogs, and getting these off takes some work. I am opting for the Hunters in size seven. Even though they don't look as good on, they are more functional.

I really wanted to love these boots since they seem very well made. They fit well for the most part but the shaft was just a bit too narrow to comfortably tuck in my jeans. And I would likely wear them with jeans on rainy days. I feel if I am going to spend so much on rain boots I should really love them!

The great: the rubber quality is superb. I really loved how the boots were flexible from knee to toe, and though I did not keep the boots long enough to see if the rubber split/cracked (nothing sucks more than leaky rain boots) they seemed promising. They're also very lightweight -- a definite plus! The not so great: the sizing! As everyone has mentioned, the boots run large. And I mean Large. I am a true US size 9, so I took the advice of previous reviewers and ordered a size down -- US 8. The boots in the box were labeled as Le Chameau's version of European 39, which technically translates to US 8.5 but the boots felt closer to a US 10. Needless to say, my feet were swimming in these boots; I should have ordered a size 7. The rubber around the calf is exactly 15.5" on a size 8. My calves are exactly 15.5 - so they felt snug, but comfortable enough. I didn't exchange the boots for a smaller foot size figuring the calf size would be in turn, be smaller and too constricting. My sizing advice is to order two sizes down and be wary of the calf sizing. If you're on the slim side, they'll be super cute and comfy. If you have like, average calves, you'll probably find them too tight - you definitely won't be able to tuck in pants/jeans.

These are so cute but really big and the shaft is strange. Unforunately I have to send these back, but they are so cute! Worth a try if you have larger feet.

These are exceptionally elegant, soft boots, and they don't have those annoying lugs on the soles that most rain boots have, which make you look as though you just climbed off a tractor. The trouble is, although the shaft is shapely and narrow unlike most rubber boots, the shoe part is extremely large (the 6 fits like a 6.5 or even a 7, and is commensurately wide, making my feet look huge), and there's virtually no padding on the bottom. Unfortunately they don't come in a smaller size than 6, so I couldn't try sizing down. Even heavy socks wouldn't be enough to help with this. I suppose I could use thick innersoles to pad them and fill up space, but for this price they ought to fit properly. Be aware too that they seem to have no insulation, so they'd probably be quite cold in winter. And the shaft is exceptionally tall, so if you're as petite as I am (4'11" on a good day), the top hits the kneecap, which might get uncomfortable, or cause runs in your hosiery, after walking for a while. These would be wonderful for someone who's tall and lives in a reasonably mild climate. They look like expensive leather riding boots, so it's disappointing to have to return them.

I have to say that I was very disappointed in these boots. The sizing is awful! I wear a size 9, but when I ordered these in a 9 they literally fit like an 11. At first I just figured that I would wear thick socks, but they still felt large. I only wore them twice. The second time wearing them, I bumped into my cat door getting out of the car and the metal button on the side if the boot popped off. Not at all what I expected for such expensive boots!

Cute shirt! Just make sure and follow the care instructions because Lacoste shirts are know to shrink when dried in the drier. Runs true to size before tumble drying...
