I chose 3 different shoes I liked, and let my 4 year old son pick his favorite, these were the winner! We both love them. He can put them on and take them off by himself, which we both love, although the
velcro is VERY sticky, so it's a big production! I love the rubber toe, it looks stylish, and has kept the shoe from getting scuffed up. He hasn't worn them too much yet, as the weather has still been warm but from the amount he has worn them, he says they're very comfy, and they are holding up well. They are a bit wider than an average shoe, I'd say, but not super-wide. My son has a fairly narrow foot, so it's hard for me to say for sure, but I wouldn't recommend them for a wide-footed child. I say these are a winner for us!
