My 11-year-old really likes these for moderate hiking & camping. He is in that "in-between" boy/men's size that is hard to find and these fit the bill. Haven't tested them for longevity, but the price was good and he thinks they're cool.

I am seven years old. I like them, they have really good grip. I can hike really, really far with them. They are good boots.

This boot looks and feels like it will be GREAT - but I would recommend sizing up 1/2 to a full size. My 7 year old is in size 2 Asics running show, we ordered the 2 in this boot and his toes are crammed in the boot. Unfortunately, that means no playing in the snow today.

I bought these boots for my 8-year-old son to wear around this winter. He loves them! They are more flexible and comfortable than his big snow boots, allowing him to run and play, but they are warm and protect his feet from snow and slush.

This is the second year in a row I have bought Hi-Tec hiking boots for my boys. They are the best buy for your money that I have found. They are true to size, fit comfortably right from the start and do their job. What more can you ask?

I bought these for my 9-year-old daughter for a trip to Australia. She says they are very light and comfortable. She has worn them on many hikes now, including one of 12 km. Uphill, downhill, sandy, stony; no blisters or complaints. Looks like she will outgrow them before they wear out.

We bought these boots for our 9 year old. So far they are fabulous in the woods and on the boulders around here, but the real test will come in a month when we go back hiking in New Hampshire. The quality of the boots is really good and so is how they feel on your feet, says our son. The price is also very good, so we think we got a winner.

Yes, he loves these shoes. We hiked up Cascade and Porter in the Adirondacks. Not one single blister or hotspot in that first wearing. So glad we found these boots. He needs a wider bed for the ball of his foot and these worked out great though not a specific wide shoe.

My son won't take them off! We purchased these boots for Boy Scout hiking adventures, but my son wears them everywhere. He says they fit perfectly and are very comfortable. They seem sturdy, only time will tell. They are a very good looking shoe. We bought a 1/2 size up as they felt snug but not off sized. It might just be the difference from athletic shoes to a boot.

I bought these for my 11-year old son to wear primarily for Boy Scout activities. I bought them because they were billed as waterproof, and we treated them with additional waterproofing before first use. Their first test was a camp-out and five mile hike in the White Mountains, unfortunately during a period of 24 hour rain. The shoes soaked through, but they took about 8 hours to do so. To be fair, EVERYTHING soaked through on this day - GoreTex raingear, my husband's all-leather Vasque boots, etc - partially due to everything being wet, including performance clothing, which pulled the wetness into boots and under rain gear, so it's hard to be too hard on these boots alone. On a less rainy day or a shorter time out they would have kept his feet dry. My son finds them very comfortable with no break in time and thinks they look cool. Overall, a good performance boot for a reasonable price.
