Since birth, I've had a problem with heavy pronation. I'm now 53 and having a real problem with my feet. My feet are so pronated now that if I walk through a puddle of water in bare feet, my wet foot print looks like a club foot made it. My arches completely touch the ground. I also love summer time and we go boating on the Colorado river and lakes several times a summer. It had gotten so bad with my old
Teva sandals that I wasn't sure what I was going to do this season. It's almost impossible to keep my
Nike shoes that I wear with
orthotics with dry, and who wants to wear shoes in the summer on a river vacation? I loved my
Teva sandals, but they just didn't have the support I now need. I googled what the best
sandals are for pronation and ended up on the Zappos website. These
sandals saved my summers. I love them! The relief I get from these
sandals are amazing. I was reluctant at first due to the price, but they are easily worth every cent. My wife has issues with her feet as well, but totally different. She has high arches, but a problem with her big toe which is now arthritic. She bought a pair of
Flip flop orthaheels, and it's given her some relief as well. If you don't have foot issues then
sandals like
Teva work great, but if you have foot issues and still want to wear
sandals, then look no more. Oh and these have a nice
vibram sole that works just like my old
sandals I had for over 10 years on my boat. You can get these wet all day long.
