It is a genuine backpack. I would say it works just as well as any other would. I purchased it for the looks, though, in which what you see is what you get.

Blaaah! Pretty cool backpack but not for school. Tore up in a week with my books. It does not have any support or cushion in the lower part of the backpack!

I bought this bag because I really liked the colors and the simplicity of design. It's okay, but not great. It's not very sturdy, and if you're carrying small items, they will get jostled around.

This is a great looking backpack. But it is poorly made and the straps will break off in no time. This was our second try with a
Neff backpack (my son loved the look). But sadly both times it was just money wasted. If you do not plan on using it as a true school bag, then it may be a nice fashion accessory. It is not good for school purposes.

My 8 year old wanted this so bad...should have gone with my mom instincts and bought the other
Neff bag. This one did not make it through the 3rd week of 4th grade, this one only for very light loads. Zappos awesome and sending me the other one.
