Great shoes! My son has a high instep and these shoes slide right on. Comfortable from day one.

These shoes are great! They are comfortable right out of the box. Very similar to a suede version I bought in a store last year.

Was just in the Clarks store and they were priced less! Really bummed. May not come back to Zappos.

LOVE them! I'm not sure who likes them more, my son or me but they are great!! I was a little worried at first since he hadn't worn hi-tops before, thought they'd rub on his shin and he'd never wear them again if they hurt. I just didn't put the laces all the way to the very top hole and let him know that they will get softer after he wears them a couple of times...and he loved them!! No complaints at all about anything. He says they are really comfy and he can play sports in them: soccer, baseball, football and razors. And they are obviously the rockstar of shoes! He's only 6 but it's never too early to have them wear the cool stuff, right moms?

Been waiting 5 years for vans to make this shoe!!! I love this shoe. I’ve been wearing it since I was a teenager myself. Now that I have a son, I wanted it for him too, but alas, they only made it for older kids...until now!!! I immediately snatched up two pair and they are great! Love them and they fit true to size and he says they are comfortable. Thanks Zappos!!!

My eight year old son selected these shoes, and was thrilled when they arrived so quickly (thanks Zappos!). However, they have been very difficult for him to put on and take off, so we've had to resort to not using the top three lace holes, and keep the laces very loose. Meanwhile, the leather has torn away from the lace holes, which is disappointing, after only a month of use. But we do like how they look.

Bought these for my nephew to wear in a wedding & he loves them. He hasn't taken them off since he got them. They are durable for a young boy & he hasn't complained that they hurt his feet (and he would if they did). All in all, a great pair for a little one.

I have always believed in getting quality shoes that will stand the test of a very active 8-year old boy. This seems to be the only brand shoe that can do it! My son's 2nd pair of Vans, only because he outgrew his old ones. I have purchased him Asics before. Those lasted for only a few months, although they offered better support than Vans. My son does have flat feet, so we did get him fitted for orthotics, as the only downfall with Vans is they do not have good arch support. Otherwise, the shoes itself can stand up to the abuse and have never ripped on him (older pair). Every other shoe we have bought for him since he could walk/run always developed holes from the rough housing! Great durable shoe, cool-looking, but needs better arch support, which can be complemented by a good pair of orthotics (if needed).

My 6 year old son picked these. He always wears Vans which he loves. I was a little apprehensive about getting getting him high tops with laces as I prefer the slip on and go out the door shoe. I just saw these as hard work. He really wanted them. Result? Beautiful shoes. Don't be in a hurry to put them on. We ended up buying an extra pair of slip on Vans for when we are in a hurry as he was going back to his old fall apart too small pair Vans to avoid the hassle of the high tops. Sigh. I hate it when I am right.
