Been wanting a great workwear boot and found it with Generic Surplus Duck Boot. I have back issues and this Vibram sole provides great shock absorption when you walk. Money well spent.

As a follow up to my first review in which I mentioned these have a terribly uncomfortably toe crease, I've sadly learned these are the least water resistant shoe short of a flip flop. I have Chuck Taylors in which my feet stay drier. The item information for these shoes indicateds a waterproof upper.... that's great, if you're spending your days standing on draniage grates where rain cannot accumulate. These immediately soaked through within several minutes during the first rain of the season. I even avoided any standing water over perhaps 1/2" deep. These are poser boots, sadly, meant only for fair weather.

This is a very attractive and very comfortable shoe. The dark brown is almost black- very pretty and for some reason a difficult color to come by. I wear a 7.5 or 8, and the 8 fit perfectly. I can wear this all day and be completely comfortable. Got many compliments. Pricey but worth it.
