  • Highly breathable open mesh upper.
  • Ultralightweight synthetic overlays provide structural support.
  • Elastic Nav Band wraps across the instep for a secure, glove-like fit.
  • Lightly padded tongue and contoured heel cup for added comfort.

  • Extended Toe Flex - The split-toe feature augments forefoot flexibility and promotes the big toe to engage the runner's natural stability and power during push-off.
  • Ideal Heel - The heel is slimmed down to encourage contact points to shift forward, aligning the joints and creating optimal energy return.
  • Built on an anatomical last, the shoe's shape contours to your foot, promoting support and a glove-like fit.

Okay, let's get this out of the way: This is not a minimalist shoe. The purpose of a minimalist shoe is to be as close to barefoot as possible, so your foot muscles strengthen, allowing you to avoid the injuries common to feet accustomed to cushioned running shoes. These shoes will not give your muscles that opportunity to strengthen. However, one thing they have in common with minimalist shoes is that the heel height is much lower than a traditional running shoe. Thus, if you are a person who regularly strikes their heel first when running (which causes all sorts of joint and muscle problems) this shoe encourages you to strike mid-foot instead. That's a big difference, and a big improvement, for the heel striking runner. If you are not a heel striker, this shoe might not do anything special for you. If you are, it will change and improve your entire running experience. I haven't had them long, so I can't attest to durability, but they are very comfortable. They are technically for "neutral" runners, which means you don't supinate or pronate much. Keep in mind that none of that supinate or pronate stuff matters at all with a minimalist shoe, because you are supposed to just walk how you walk without any misguided "correction" - and also keep in mind that the supinate/pronate stuff is way overblown. I pronate a bit, but had no problem with these shoes. As for style - the colors are bizarre. There is a white accented with hospital green that looks like it would be perfect wearing to run around an ER. The magenta (which is more like purple) is likely the winner here, though the orange/black is also serviceable. Why they can't make normal colors for women is beyond me. If you want a true minimalist shoe, check out the Vibram Five Fingers or the New Balance WT20's (soon to come out the WT30's). But if you are a heel striker looking for a traditional running shoe that will virtually eliminate annoying running problems like shin splints, buy this.

Brooks PureConnect, best shoes ever... Tested after 30 miles. Very responsive, lighted and fast shoes, no scraping point under soles so far. Spouse beautifully my type of feet, thin and arched, didn't catch any blister. Ordered a 9.5 which is my regular size. My guess, best for light to medium weight runners. I'll stick with this Brooks now. Will get get a couple more pairs, Down side, Made in China. Be ethical! Not only in sport...

I run anywhere from 20-50+ miles per week and have tried all kinds of high-end running shoes with all the extra stuff that everyone acts like you need. I have been progressing towards more minimalist shoes and for me, these were the perfect shoes. I would not consider these barefoot shoes and I did not want to go all the way there. But these shoes are so light that I barely feel them on. They are highly reflective, comfortable. Order at least half a size larger than normal though! Definitely give these a try. I loved them so much I also picked up the PureGrit for my trail runs. Cheers!

I LOVE these sneakers! I switched from Saucony Kinvara's over to the PureConnects because I wanted a lower heel-toe drop. These shoes have helped me improve my running efficiency by becoming more of a mid foot striker. And they are super light - a must buy for anyone exploring the minimalist sneaker option. One caveat: these shoes run small. I'm a size 9 in street shoes and usually a size 10 for running sneakers. I had to go to 10.5 with these sneakers.

These shoes fit perfectly. They have nice arch support and offer surprising support for their weight (light). These are ideal for a mid-foot strike. Fabulous shoe.

A surprisingly comfortable shoe for its lightweight construction. Also provides a decent amount of support. I'm a semi-heavy runner, but this shoe has plenty of comfort for me. I haven't run anything longer than a 4 miler in them yet, so I'm not sure if they'd work for a larger runner over a longer race. They do run a full size small.

I ordered these shoes as a birthday present for my boyfriend, and he was thrilled! Here are a few things I tend to hear when he is wearing them. "Aaah.... like walking on marshmallows. These are the best shoes ever. Can you buy me another pair soon? I really liked the other colors too... Super cute shoes!" (Oh wait, that last one was me!) He loves these shoes so much, and is constantly trying to get me to buy the girls' version. He might talk me into it sooner than later! :)

Excellent shoes for running on hard surfaces. Terrible traction in the dirt, but this shoe is not meant for that.

Love my new running shoes. I ordered them 2nd day and couldn't help but to go running in them 30 minutes after they got here! I love when I don't have to break shoes in!

They fit great. I got my normal size of 10.5 and had no problems. I've only put a little over ten miles on them so far, but they feel great! Overall they are a great shoe. I was solely a Nike+ running fan before I bought these and now I cant stand my Nike shoes they don't feel right on the road.
