I love the fit, comfort and support of these. I also like the style. Unfortunately I found the suede covering easily wore off with the slightest abrasion. Consequently I had to return two pair within three weeks. I have narrow feet with high arches and suffer from plantar fasciitis. I have a lot of difficulty finding shoes, and especially slippers
, that provide the support and cushioning that I need for comfort. So I was thrilled with how comfortable and supportive these are. The heels are low which helps keep the Achilles tendon and plantar fascia stretched. Despite the low heel height there is still excellent cushioning there. The insole has the best arch support
and overall cushioning I have experienced from anything short of an expensive aftermarket orthotic. So these would be ideal for me as a slipper or house shoe, except for the quality of the material used on the uppers. On the first pair the suede began peeling off the outer front of each shoe within days. With the second pair I noticed it after only a few hours of wear. I realized that when I elevate my feet on a foot rest I tend to cross my feet at the ankles. This allows the raised seam of one shoe to come in contact with the other and that apparently is all that is all it takes to quickly rub off the suede coating. I suppose it might be forgivable, even if still disappointing, if this happened after many hours or wear. But in my case it happened almost immediately. This is a real shame, as it compromises the quality of what otherwise is exceptionally well designed shoe for someone with feet like mine. In fact it was a real letdown, as I have never worn another pair of slippers
that I found so ideal otherwise. I sincerely hope the manufacturer will reintroduce these with more durable material.
