I am a tall size 12 female and wanted something I could wear swimming/boating that would give me some protection from the sun. The Male medium fits perfectly and unlike the female skins/rash guards, these sleeves are longer and go to the elbow.

Purchased for Hawaiian vacation. Spent extended hours on and in ocean learning to surf and stand up on board. Functional, stylish, and durable. Slim, athletic fit. Definitely buy next size up.

I got one of these for swimming lessons and they worked out very well. They don't keep you warm but it was nice to have a protective layer against the sun when I was out in the pool. They fit snug and provide some compression. I highly recommend these. In fact, I bought one more in a different color.

I like the shirt. You may want to order a larger than normal size. I ordered 2 sizes up and it fits well.
