Couldn’t be happier, great
boots! Best Oz export since Elle Macpherson! I bought my first pair of
Blundstone 500s direct from Australia 14 years ago and threw them out 11 years later. Now for the last year they were garden
boots with duct tape over the split between the sole and upper, but that’s the way Blunnies roll. My current everyday pair are 4 years old and still look great (the waterproof and slightly wider 200s). I also have a pair of 63s (8 years) for dressier wear, and as soon as I saw the 62s on sale, I jumped. Since I seem to wear far more brown than black. As you can tell I like these
boots very much and so do the friends I’ve given them to as
gifts. "These are the best
boots ever" being the typical comment. I’ve walked miles and miles in ‘em, outdoors, in town, through dust, wet, and snow, and for slip on
boots, they performed exceptionally well. While no slip on can ever match the support of a lace up, Blundstones — provided they fit you right with a good wool sock — will comfortably walk farther than any boot I’ve ever had. Give ‘em a light coat of
nikwax every so often and a little neutral polish (or black for black) and they’ll last and look good for years. The only drawback is they can’t be re-soled, but by the time the soles are finished, the uppers won’t be worth it anyway. FYI Australian sizing: whole numbers for length, half sizes are width… so if 8 is the length 8.5 is an 8 wide, 9 is the next longer size and 9.5 is 9 wide, etc. If I have an un-frugal shoe moment, I’ll buy the BL065in suede.
