These shoes have excellent arch support and a very comfortable foot bed. I am a size 8.5 and I got them in a 38 which is a perfect fit. The velcro strap is nice too because it allows you to adjust the strap to fit the top of the foot without cutting into it or putting too much pressure across the top of the foot. I have high arches so this is a problem I have had with Dansko mary janes. The other thing I like about these shoes is that compared to other Dansko or clog style/comfort foot bed shoes, is that they are light weight but have a sturdy sole. The leather is pretty soft too which means less breaking in time and no blisters! I got them in the Pewter Charmer color and they remind me of a Ziggy Stardust snake. They look a lot more blue-ish multi colored than in the photo here, but for me that's a good thing. I love this brand and plan to purchase more from this company. I highly recommend these for anyone who has fatigue or back pain.

Alegrias are so comfortable and so much fun! I bought the basic black Paloma for choir performances when I have to stand still for over an hour. But now I have thrown caution to the wind and own four more pairs, including the fun prints and ones with bejeweled buckles! I have always worn Danskos for the arch support, but these are even better. I disagree with all those who say they run big, or maybe I just like them looser. I wear a 7-1/2 in most shoes, which according to the Alegria size chart is a 37. But I wear a 38 in Danskos and Birkenstocks because I don't want them to hug my foot like a sneaker, so for me, the Alegria 38s are perfect. If you want them to feel secure like a running shoe or fashion pump, buy a size smaller. If you want to wallow in comfort and have happy feet, buy your true size. (Having said that, I must add a detail: I buy the 38s in the closed styles - Paloma and Feliz and in the Classics, but a 37 in the open-toe sandals.)

I started a new job at a university and needed shoes for quickly walking across campus and up and down flights of stairs. These shoes are great; my feet do not hurt at the end of the day. The insole is simply amazing. I like the Velco strap that makes it easy to adjust. I bought the multi-metalic color and they are so cute; love the gold decorative button. I do not know why the color is called multi because what I see is black with a gold sparkly overcoat. I wear them with jeans and casual pants. They were a little squeaky but I took the insole out and added a little powder & that took care of the squeak. I wear a size 7 and it was suggeseted to buy a 37 and I am happy with the fit. I would like to buy another pair but I cannot decide which ones I like most!

Alegria Paloma is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. The thickness of the insole is so high, much higher than any orthotic I've seen. Then there's the beautiful color. My first pair is Tortoise and it's gorgeous, going with all colors. My 2nd pair is my favorite color purple - in Plum Patent, another gorgeous. After seeing these beautiful color lined in glove soft leather I can't settle for the black or brown leathers. My son said they look just like some shoes a little girl he knows wears. These Mary Janes are terrific, the feel of an orthopedic shoe in a classic pretty shoe.

This was my 1st buying experience with Alegria shoes, but not my 1st with Zappos.com. I am happy to report my complete satisfaction with both. The shoes did take a few days to break in but within a week they are my absolute favorite pair. Well worth the money. And, as always, Zappos shipping & customer service proved top-notch. It's so nice to have a worry-free buying experience each & every time!

This flip flood is not only dressy but extremely comfortable. I walked miles on the beach with them and no sore points developed. They do stretch out a little so maybe is best to get a half size smaller.

I absolutely loved these shoes out of the box, but once I put them on I realized how high the heel was on them. I am not used to wearing that high of a heel so they had to go back. :(

I like the color so much that I've decided to keep these although the size is too wide. I'll give them a chance to see if the rigid straps don't hurt my feet.

The color is flattering and pretty and the base of the shoe very comfortable; however, the straps are too rigid and hurt my feet so I had to return them. They run small in size.
