15" calf, not 13.5". I unzipped the boot, flattened the shaft and checked with measuring tape. So, sadly, these are going back. Too bad, because they're very comfortable. The toe area is roomy and the fit is true to size. The rubber sole has nice traction, but isn't too bulky, so these would make good all-season boots. As for style, I'd call these cute, but not sexy. They can go from casual to slightly dressy. The zipper isn't terribly smooth, but it's strong. For the price, the overall quality of these boots is great. How awesome is Zappos for providing return labels that work for both UPS and USPS?!

I love these boots! I'm super picky and wanted something that would look good in a casual look with skinny jeans or with leggings/tights and a dress. I wear these all the time, and they are so comfortable. They did pinch my little toe a bit at first, but now I can walk all day with no pain. I'm planning on wearing them on a trip to France in the spring since they're so great for walking.

Great looking boot, comes up nice and high, and not baggy at calf. However, it has no foot support, and the sole is hard. I could not wear these all day; but they do look good, and for brief outings, for the price, they're worth keeping.
