My husband loves this jacket. He says it's lightweight, breathable and is comfortable to wear. He also likes that the hood is detachable. It's a great year round jacket when paired with a fleece or down mid-layer.

The jacket is great! The service was excellent! I wanted for a snowboarding trip for the weekend and was able to have free overnight service! Zappos is fantastic!

Great jacket. I wear this on cool or rainy days and it works perfect. I take the train into the city for work and this jacket does a great job of keeping me dry on the walk to and from the metro. Unlike fleece jackets, the liner in this on will not catch on work shirts and bunch up at the elbow. When winter rolls around, I can buy the zip in liner and wear this out in any weather. Once again Zappos customer service was great. Won't shop anywhere else.

This is the best jacket I have ever owned. It is lightweight, but warm. I bought it for skiing, so I am going to have to use base layers and fleece underneath the jacket. The beautiful thing about this jacket is how well it lets your skin breathe. Would purchase again.

I bought this jacket because we still have the insert from the same jacket I bought a few years ago for my older son. Unfortunately he lost the outer part. The new jacket fit perfectly with the old inner liner. I will say after having purchased numerous North Face products for my three children since they were very young, the products last very long. The only downside is that they all run small. The medium jacket was purchased for my 16 year old son who is very slender and is 5'7" and the length is just okay. I would think that a men's medium would run bigger. Zappos is the best! The operator was extremely helpful when I asked about the replacement piece. The jacket was delivered the next day before my son was leaving on a trip to NYC.

This is a great jacket, its biggest strength is versatility. I love the ability to zip in North Face fleeces or vests as needed. A little known fact is that anything with a compatible zipper works (I was able to zip in my Columbia vest too), super cool. I am a small and without something zipped in, the jacket feels roomy, a tad too big, it fits best when coupled with the fleece. For me, that's a fair trade.

This jacket is great in its own right, but becomes perfect when coupled with a North Face fleece that can be easily snapped in place! By itself, this jacket is lightweight, breathable, and not constricting. Every button, zipper and flap is carefully placed for ease of use and optimum utility. Whether you want something for a warm but rainy day or something for 20 degrees outside, this jacket delivers.

Absolutely love this jacket! It is not the light weight shell jacket. Has a thicker feel to it and is super warm. Has a cinched drawstring so that you an adjust the waist. Nice overall feel.

I bought this jacket in a large/teaberry pink. My torso is a medium but my hips are about a 12 (so is my chest), and since the jacket is hip-length I sized up. The jacket still has a bit of feminine cinching in the right areas to make it shapely. Teaberry is an almost fluorescent coral color, very pretty. There are lots of zip areas for ventilation under the arms and on the body. It is perfect for rain - the hood has cinching so it will stay on your head and a subtle baseball-hat brim to keep water out of your face. It is good for cold too if you layer or get a zip-in shell (the jacket is rather thin by itself). Very happy with this item, though if you take The North Face away it probably would be cheaper.

I felt this jacket ran large for North Face sizing. It was huge on me, but another NF large jacket I have fits fine. However the main problem I had with it was the thinness, being more like a shell, and the lining, which I thought was fleece, but is just a thin, slippery nylon layer inside. My fault for not reading the description better. The outer and inner layers are a loud, slipper nylon, which I don't like, plus I already have a loud rain coat.
