Okay, so it has to be said that these are some pretty ugly boots
(I always have to fight the urge to burst into Napoleon Dynamite-style dancing when I slip them on), but they are warm, unbelievably comfortable, and getting them on and off takes about 3 seconds. I live on a ranch in Colorado, and I have to go outside way too many times a day to check/see to our animals and/or get logs from the wood stack etc etc. While I really love my Sorel
Joan of Arctics, they just far too long to take on and off, especially if I don't happen to be wearing socks
. The Khombu
Traveler 2's are just awesome. Not sure that I would want to go hiking
in them (they have zero arch support
, and it pretty much feels like you are wearing extra-cozy slipper socks
) but they are perfect for my needs. The size 11 is spot on for my size 10-ish feet - lots of room for a nice thick wooly sock. Way better grip than my Sorels, too.
