My doctor recently suggested I start wearing compression socks
to help keep my legs from swelling. All I could think of was those awful things all the old folks wear until I saw these, compression socks
with flair! I am a male, 5'9'' with size 11-4E feet, and a relatively long lower leg for my height. I purchased the blue/green socks
, and, if I'm careful to stretch them well when I put them on, they fall about an inch below the tibial tuberosity and the bony prominence at the top of the shin, just below the knee -- and comfortably above the widest part of the calf, even after washing according to instructions. They stay put. I have used them for extended day hikes, and have not had to readjust them. The socks
seem well-made. Even though I pull and tug to put them on they do not seem to have weakened, even after several washings. They are wonderfully soft and comfortable, though a bit warmer than expected, and seem to provide just the right support. My legs feel revitalized.
