I travel overseas about 4-6 times a year and travel domestically 40-50 times a year. I was looking for a wheeled carry on that could manage both, so that meant going to a 20". I have used
Timbuk2 products and gave this a try. I have been really impressed. On domestic flights, it easily fits in the overhead and being soft sided, it has some flexibility to fit in to smaller planes. I love the skateboard wheels - they just glide around the airport. The inside allows me to pack a number of ways, up to a weeks worth of clothes and stuff. It is divided inside into to halves, so you can keep things separate. I love the pockets on the front, which are perfect for tickets, passport, etc. and another for magazines, my iPad, or other stuff you want to access during the flight. There are not a lot of bells and whistles on the interior, but I am a seasoned road warrior that does not need someone putting a bunch of useless pockets in my carryon. The one feature I love that I have not seen before is the bottom shoe pocket on the lower outside of the bag. This lets me pack a pair of extra shoes, flip flops, etc. so I can easily change, depending on where I am going without opening my suitcase. So far, I am a big fan of this bag. It makes it's maiden voyage to Cambodia in about two weeks. I will update this if my experience changes, but I don't think it will.
