The
Nine West Pattycake in M was too narrow (I do have a wide foot), and it came up too high on the back of my knee. Also the grey was a very dark brown almost black -- too dark for my purposes. The
Enzo Angiolini Valetta grey, on the other hand, was a warm, somewhat weathered brown that was more appealing to me. The fit (in M) was fine too (despite my wide foot). Ultimately, however, I settled on the
Circa Joan & David Renya. The Renya brown is a good color for the clothes I want to wear with the
boots, and the
boots fit comfortably. Although they are more of an 8 than the 7 M they are marked, I am willing to put up with a little extra room in front of the toes for the sake of having a toe box wide enough for my foot. I also appreciate the full-length zipper. Now if they could do something about the appalling lack of
arch support.
