These are the perfect
winter boots for the city! They are warm, waterproof, look nice, and are light (but not flimsy). They have a sticky
Vibram sole that keeps traction in icy situations better than most
boots. I have had them several months now and wore them every day through the Chicago winter. They have held up nicely through snow, ice, and rain. The ability to wear them up or rolled down gives them versatility to wear in various temperatures and circumstances. I usually wore them up, since it was cold out, and they always kept my feet and ankles warm, yet they did not overheat indoors. The soft and cushy sheepskin
insole a nice touch! I would not recommend them for winter
hiking or snow shoeing as they are not those kind of
boots. But for anything more domestic they are perfect. For those concerned about the price (they are not cheap) or the brand, I had the same concerns when I ordered these
boots. But do not worry. They are well worth the price compared to other
boots I researched online and at local stores. And they do look nice, but they are not automatically identifiable as
Uggs which is good for me because I think most
Uggs are hideous. They are great
