This shoe is perfect for someone who cares about and how they look, how a shoe feels and quality of materials. The cost is a great price for this shoe. You get high quality construction, leather that breaks in cleanly and evenly, and nice leather soles. I found the sizes run notably smaller than listed. I am usually a 12, and settled with a 11.5 and that is just the slightest bit too big. An 11 would be the slightest bit too small, so I went with the 11.5 Out of the box, the right shoe squeaked, but the left did not. I wore them around my office for a week or so (but not outside) until I decided whether they would work. The squeak went away shortly thereafter. These are the kind of shoes that get comments both from people who are well dressed themselves and appreciate others who
dress well, as well as from people who are the opposite. The design is very versatile, as these work great both with
jeans and with a suit. I alternate between these shoes, a pair of black Johnston and Murphy captoes and a pair of brown Johnston and Murphy captoes. I like these shoes for daily use because for some reason I don't like tying laces every day. Also, these are great for flying, because you'll look good strolling through the airport, but without the hassle of undoing laces through security. These are precisely what I wanted and I am very happy with them.
