These boots just arrived on my doorstep and they are gorgeous! A very well-made, high quality boot. In response to the reviews that indicate that the ankle looks "weird" and make reference to "cankles," I would say that you need to understand that the style of this boot is somewhat slouchy. There will be some slouching in the ankle. It's not necessarily unflattering; it's just the style - a more relaxed look as opposed to a sleek, refined look.

I bought the size I usually buy, don't think I'd be able to get my foot into 1/2 size smaller. Certainly couldn't get my foot in with a wool sock on, even with ordering my usual size. Also, read a lot of reviews that say 'I have large calves and these leave plenty of room to tuck in skinny jeans', well ladies, you must not really have large calves, because I have to scrunch them down to get them on with tights. Big calves is a relative term. I'm keeping them regardless, love them. Super comfy all day on day one. Great Frye quality. Still think I must be crazy for spending this much on boots, but I rarely spoil myself (mother of 2). All in all, order in 3 sizes and try them all on. With free shipping and returns, you can afford to.

I just got this boot today and I am so excited! I took the other ladies advice on the size and they were right. I usually wear a 6.5 to 7 and I ordered a 6.5 and it fits perfectly. It did take some fighting to put them on at first but that is to be expected. Leather will break in after a few wears. The boot is a little on the loose side...but it is by no means slouch or baggy. The boot has perfect shape. If you are looking for a boot that is extremely tight around the calves, this boot is not for you. I wanted something that was a little more relaxed and would look good with anything. I have a very busy 2 year old so I needed something to throw on and still look cute. These are perfect. Worth the money for sure!

What I loved about this boot is the soft leather is very comfortable (it has a padded insole), it is basic without being too plain. What I did not love is that because it us a pull-on style, the part around the ankle is very loose. Also, if you have thin calves these will probably be too baggy overall. I wanted to love them, but unfortunately had to send them back.

I wore these boots one time only for two hours and they stretched out tremendously. Felt very floppy and uncomfortable.

Not what I expected from Frye. This is the second pair of boots I tried, and the second one that broke! The strap on the back tore right off after wearing about 5 times. Horrible quality of construction. On the plus side, leather quality is nice and the styling is great. They just fall apart, unfortunately.

Love at first sight and very comfortable as well. I ordered a size 9, which is my regular shoe size, and am happy with the fit. I have no trouble getting the boots on and off either. Great investment!

These boots are so beautiful and soft. The first few times, I had trouble getting them on my right foot, which tends to be a little bigger. That was frustrating but now that they are broken in, I'm completely in love with them!

I was very excited when these arrived at my home. They are a really nice pair of boots. Too bad I had to return them, my legs are too short. I'm 5'4". I would recommend them for a taller person, or someone with longer legs.

The leather is nice, high quality and the brown is a dark deep brown. The detailing is lovely. There's a bit of break-in time and these run true to size unlike some of other Frye boots (like Carson). I don't think there are issues with the ankle. The front detailing slims the ankle and the pull-on style has to give a bit of room at the ankle so that you can pull these boots on. The leather outsole is delicate and I recommend getting a rubber sole to cover up the leather if you plan to walk a lot.

Bought these after reading some reviews on the site and have been very happy with them. I have had them for about a month now and I wear them 3 to 4 days a week in an office environment. They are probably the most comfortable dress shoe I've ever bought. They're also very durable, wearing them day after day in an office and they're not showing much wear. Other shoes I've bought will start to show creases, but these seem no worse for the wear so far. Would definitely recommend this shoe.

Overall I really enjoyed making fun of the shoes, and I would agree they were dress shoes albeit the worst designed dress shoe of all time. My biggest issue came from the irregular shaped heal, which made me feel like I was going to twist my ankle because it put so much pressure on the outside of my foot. I felt unbalanced and unlovable. Granted I have very weak ankles, but I have never had this issue before and not even a big hug would have made it better. Just to make sure I wasnt crazy, I showed my fiance and she thought it was from wearing them out chasing other women, only the shoes were practically new and the other women come to me.

This is a great looking dress shoe and very comfortable. My feet measure 12D on the left and 12.5E on the right, so I'm very difficult to fit, and I never thought I would buy shoes online, but someone recommended Zappos, so I decided to try. I went with 12E on these and they fit perfectly. I've owned Rockports in the past and always been pleased. It was great to be able to choose a wide size in the style I wanted. I will be a repeat customer!

Excellent. Comfortable and great style and finish. Just what I was needing compliments business casual and business formal alike. Do scuff somewhat easily so make sure you have a good polish/conditioner on hand.

Great style, very light and comfortable. I don't know if the leather will hold up to scuffs but since I only wear the shoe in the office, they should last me a long time. This is my second pair of Rockport shoes and they fit and feel great!

Super light shoes. Lighter than my athletic shoes! Very comfortable, but not as supportive as other Rockports I've had. Overall, I would recommend.

The shoes fit really well. I have a slightly narrow foot and these shoes doe not feel sloppy even though they are a standard D width. The comfort in the sole and footbed is incredible. The toe box is a bit small but still flexible. I wore these out of the box on a trip to Paris and walked for miles (they say kilometers) without any pain, blisters or tiredness. I would recommend these.

These shoes are very comfortable and I like the styling a lot. My only issue is the color (I ordered Medium Brown) which does not match the photo on the site. The shoes in the photo have a slight reddish or cordovan tint to them, while the shoes I received are much more brown.

Dress up. Dress down. But make sure to be comfortable. These are Rockports, so you know they are comfy. But they are also versatile. They look great with dressy pants and they make nice jeans look smart. Also, they are kinda long, so they look sleek and neat.
