I turned 40 years old and figured it was time to stop wearing ball caps. So I bought a sweet
Kangol style hat by D&Y for the winter at some
skate shop in P-town, and picked this bad boy up for the warmer months. It slays. Just rocked it on the boardwalk of Atlantic City this past weekend, and this blazin' girl who looked like Iman smiled at me and touched it as she walked by. That's all you need to know really. It's light, cool, and stylish. Size is a wee bit smaller than the numbers, and the color leans more toward gray than what my crappy monitor displays online. It's not your typical
Kangol, and
girls that look like Iman prefer it.

Great hat to add style and help
dress-up any wardrobe. Works with casual and formal outfits. Be aware that they run slightly big. My head is 23" exactly where my hatband sits. The large was too big and hung too low making my ears fold. The medium fits much better and the exchange process through Zappos was seamless.

This is my second
Kangol. The hat is very well made. I highly recommend this product and the wool 504 hat as well. I think that the hat is a bit small for its size.

Decided to try something different, always wore baseball caps. My wife likes the way it looks. I wear it to the store, when we go out at night, an all around good hat.

Like others who have reviewed this hat, I bought it to try something "a little different." My wife and I recently went on a Mediterranean vacation and I wanted something that was cool and comfortable, yet kept the sun off my all-too-prominent scalp. Mission accomplished with the
Kangol Tropic 507. It is extremely lightweight and comfortable, and easy to pack for travel. The only criticisms are that the inner headband can flip inside-out easily, so you have to be careful when putting it on to make sure that it is actually properly in place. Also, the sizing might be a bit big - I am an honest 7 5/8 hat size, so I bought the XL size, which is listed as the appropriate size for me. The hat seems a bit big, but not sloppily so, and I'd rather have it too big rather than too small (and the fabric is stretchy). All in all, a jaunty cap and a good value if you are also looking for something "a bit different" for spring and summer.

This is a cool hat, it's a very lightweight and airy fabric. I'm a hat size 7 1/2 and the L is the right size for me. I tried the XL and it was way too big. I mainly wear
hats for sun protection for my bald head, and I live in Texas so it can't be a heavy or thick hat, because I need to stay cool. This is a great hat for these purposes, and it goes well with my weekend casual wear. My only knock on the hat is that the fabric is so airy and lightweight that I'm afraid that I'd get a sunburn on the top of my head right through the hat.

I like the lightness of this hat. Good ventilation, plus it still keeps its shape. I live in a hot climate and when there is a breeze, this hat lets it through. The only downside is that I wish the brim was longer because I like to shade my eyes without pulling the hat all the way down on the forehead. But, that's a general complaint as this hat is no shorter than most others of this style. Fortunately, it still looks quite good pulled low on the head, so I'm pleased. Again, best for hot weather and super easy to care for, even with abuse it takes from me.

I love his hat and wish I had them in every color. My father wants one now, but they don't have it brown, which is what he wants. True to size. I measured my head and it is a medium. Measure you head circumference and divide by pi (3.14) and that should be your size.

I bought this hat for my husband as I love the style and knew he would like it as much like his Greek Fisherman's hat that he enjoys. LOVE the hat, the color and most importantly, Bob does too. It's very dapper.
