I bought this bag because it allows you carry on your shoulder or as a backpack. This is a very good bag for a short trip and I am happy with the product. However, I don't use it to carry my laptop.

I got this in the berry and love it! I started second guessing my color choice while it was in transit to my house, but once I got it I was pleasantly surprised by the pink; feminine, but neither super bright nor overpowering. I'm fairly petite (4'11", 98 lbs), so I wasn't shocked that the bag looked a bit large when I carried it as a tote. Taking my laptop places is going to be so much easier now! This bag has plenty of space without being too bulky. This will also make a great carry-on bag!

Love, love, love this bag. Some days I walk to work, some days, I ride the bus. Some days I drive. This is the perfect bag for all. I now can use one bag every day. Awesome.

I absolutely love this backpack! I carry a backpack with me all day every day around the city and this is now my favorite, by a long shot. This bag is roomy, has a good amount of pockets and compartments, for my phone, Kindle, etc. What I love most about this bag is the versatility. It's extremely comfortable to wear either as a backpack or over one shoulder as a tote bag. Backpack is good for walking while tote is easier for subway riding, etc. This bag totally works for me!

This is a high quality bag. The convertible tote is a great idea. I would give it five stars if there was a cell phone pocket on the back pack strap. I am 5'5" and the bag is a little too tall but all in all, satisfied with the purchase.

It's difficult to stuff the backpack straps into their slots, which are unnecessarily narrow. I don't know what the designers were thinking -- they should have tried it out before mass-producing it. Haven't decided whether that's a deal-breaker.

I was debating between this bag and the Osprey Flapjill Daypack, and this one won because it seemed easier to access the inside of it. I am a student that also works in a clinic where I lug around lots of stuff back and forth, so it is nice to have a professional looking tote that turns into a backpack when I am done with the day. It is comfortable, fits a ton of stuff, and very functional. I buckle the top shoulder straps under the front pocket strap when using it as a backpack; otherwise the straps are super nerdy and stick straight up. One thing that I do not like about it is that it does not feel cute and feminine. Being a woman's bag, Mtn HW should have put a subtle leaf print design on it or something to take away the utilitarian drab look. Though the tote-bag style allows for easy access to the inside, the front hook takes some effort to unhook to quickly get to your wallet/phone. Also, the padded laptop compartment is not really padded at all. It is a thin piece of fabric, so I still put my laptop in a squishy protector case. Overall, I wish it were a little more stylish, but it gets the job done and is very durable!

The shape of this bag is perfect for a tote for work. There is so much room I have to work at not filling it up with unnecessary items! It is sturdily made and attractive at the same time. I love it! I bought another one to give as a gift and a friend saw mine and bought one for herself to use as a small carry-on for travel.

Great versatile bag! I bought it to use as a carry on and for biking. The convertable backpack to tote is great-however it is a pain to actually tuck all the straps back in to use as a tote. Also, a strap to use as a cross body bag would make it perfect.

This is a cute bag and I really liked the color. I probably would have kept it if the tote straps could be tucked away when not in use, but when you use it as a backpack it's just too long and the straps stick up awkwardly. I sent it back.
