These shoes are perfect for a dressy type of walking shoe. I am going to wear them with dresses, skirts, and capris. They look stylish and are comfortable. The color is neutral, yet very up to date. Dealing with Zappos was an excellent experience - I ordered online, but needed assistance afterwards and the customer service rep was fantastic.

Another Mephisto hit - Took very little break-in time in the toe area...the patent leather is very pliable. Very comfortable. Looks stunning. Worth the price. A classic that you'll wear quite a bit for quite a while.

Unbelievable! I can scarcely believe how great looking these shoes are. I have always loved beautiful shoes but, over the years, my feet have become so cranky that I have had to kiss them good-bye entirely or wear them once in a great while for a special occasion - and pay for it for weeks afterward. In my experience, these are in a class by themselves. Fabulously supportive and quite good-looking. Sure, they aren't stilettos. Big deal. There's a style that I can do without anyway. To my eyes, they are aesthetically pleasing; look good with silk pants for a wedding or jeans for everyday. I just hope that Mephisto will make them in a dozen colors - especially a nice red calf. Despite my great enthusiasm for these shoes, there are two things that readers might want to know. First, it is quite possible that one or more toes will be rubbed by the peep-toe opening or the strap. I placed little gel pads around in various places and wore them for hours with no problem. Plan ahead. Second, the color named pewter would more accurately be described as bronze. This worked out great for me since my outfit is bronze but if you really want pewter, you might be disappointed.

I really love the look of this shoe. It reminds me of a shoe that could have been worn in the 1940's but updated. I only wish they would have fit better. The strap could not be tightened enough. My feet would slip off the edge near the heel. Very disappointing. This shoe would have been perfect for something casual as well as a dressier pant. I agree with one of the other reviews that they could easily have been worn instead of a heel which I can't wear anymore for any length of time.

Nice style and comfortable, Mephistos in general are very comfortable shoes, especially for people with foot problems.

I typically love Mephisto shoes. I like the look of this shoe, but I was disappointed by the comfort level, not one of Mephisto's best. The toe area is tight and uncomfortable.

Great copper color. Nice heel (not too high) and overall pretty comfortable. My only issue is that there is some rubbing on the toes. I also had to order half a size smaller than normal otherwise, my heel would slide out. I have Mephisto flip flops too and they are also a half size smaller. Overall, I would recommend.

I was looking for a pair of Mephisto shoes similar to a pair I bought several years ago. Since my original pair are no longer made I chose the closest style that was available. I like the shoes; my only complaint is that the insole edge should be dark color instead of whitish; since it is an open-back shoe you can see the off color. Thank you.

My new Memphisto shoes are exactly what I was looking for. It’s a bit dressy looking and I can wear them with suits and casual looking enough for me to wear with casual attire. Very versatile style! In the first few weeks, they were not not comfortable, but since I broke them in, they are becoming more comfortable. I am beginning to like them more and more. I am now thinking of buying the pewter colored shoes.
