Very comfortable and stylish. A more supportive foot bed than the classic
Chuck Taylor. The "
Nike Air" in the heel is a little bit of a joke (a small, quarter-sized air cell in the removable
insole), but it is more comfortable than this shoe\'s progenitor.\r\n\r\nThe leather breaks in nicely after a couple of weeks\' wear, even more so than
canvas. Sturdy laces, too. The banding around the sides, however, starts to pull away near the bend in the forefoot after a few weeks. It\'s not tearing, but perhaps needs better adhesive. Slightly disappointing detail of the construction in the midst of an overall comfortable and otherwise well-made shoe.\r\n\r\nThere\'s not much
arch support at all, but a) this type of shoe rarely has much if any, and b) I have flat feet, and I often find prominent
arch support quite uncomfortable, so this is actually a plus for me.
