I have been a devotee of To Boot New York for years. This was the very first time that I was truly disappointed with a product from them. I tried these same shoes on in another store and the quality of the leather and overall finish was vastly, noticeably superior. One thing that I'm learning about this company is that they have a problem with consistency in their finish quality, and not just because they are hand made. However, when charging this much per pair, inconsistency to this degree is unacceptable. These simply did not look like the expensive shoes that I tried on in the store.

Decent shoe. Looks great and I've walked for miles in them without any pain. I've had them for over a year now and they still hold up.

I really like the look of these shoes (re: not boots) and was happy with Zappos' customer service. That being said, the rubber soles began peeling away from the footbed of the shoes (both!) after wearing them on only a few occasions. I like Merrells but was frankly disappointed.

Purchased the Merrell Regner in black, for a dressier shoe that is also casual. Really looks sharp with a dark pair of jeans and nice shirt. Based on other reviews I ordered a half size down and still have room. Comfortable shoe for level walking but performs poorly on terrain.

Love them I use them to work and I'm on my feet all day long. At the end of the say my feet don't hurt!

I like the looks of this shoe but unfortunately I find it not comfortable at all. Aside from a thin removable inner sole, there is absolutely no padding or cushioning in the footbed. If you wear orthotics like I do, once you take out the inner sole to accommodate the orthotic, it is like walking on concrete. I need something with cushioning in the footbed, so I will be returning these.
