I like the style of the shoe a lot and have been happy with To Boot shoes in the past. However, I was very disappointed that after just a few wears, the leather at the toe of the shoe got nicked up and torn. Unfortunately, they just don't look as good anymore even though they are basically brand new. Not sure if it was just a one off case, but I think the leather should be more durable than that given the price.

I have been a devotee of To Boot New York for years. This was the very first time that I was truly disappointed with a product from them. I tried these same shoes on in another store and the quality of the leather and overall finish was vastly, noticeably superior. One thing that I'm learning about this company is that they have a problem with consistency in their finish quality, and not just because they are hand made. However, when charging this much per pair, inconsistency to this degree is unacceptable. These simply did not look like the expensive shoes that I tried on in the store.

I've worn Berras for about 5 years now, and kept wearing them even after I stopped skating because I liked 'em so much. They have a simple, un-presuming design that's comfortable and holds up well. They feel and look huge, almost like slippers, but that adds to their comfort. I've worn black, brown, and gray, and these red ones are the only ones that have elicited comments (and compliments) from people. A great, casual, everyday shoe.

Good shoe. Skates well. Holes in the bottom come quicker than in the toe. Laces rip fast but that happens on any shoe. A bit big but put another pair of inserts in them and they are fine.

My son says the shoes are comfortable. My only complaint is the red dye has rubbed off on all of his socks. We've never had this happen before.
