Though not quite as elegantly produced as the
Mephisto-labeled line, these are very comfortable for light use. Like Goldilocks, it took me a while to figure-out how to make the straps not too loose, not too tight. After a few weeks, though, everything is just right. I walk between two and three miles each morning upon suburban pavement and found these just do not have enough support to be a regular replacement for my
sneakers. These are, however, perfect for knocking about town. Interestingly, since the soles have no
sharp edges and rubber up the heel, they have become my favorite driving shoes. Bottom line: if you're looking for cheap Mephistos, wait for a
sale; the Allrounder doesn't compare with the flagship line.
