I did a lot of online shopping before I finally settled on this tote bag. Here's the story... I have a leather backpack that I (usually) love. I had it on a trip with me, but it was too cumbersome to deal with, and would not stay on top of my
luggage when I needed to place it there. I couldn't keep it on my back all the time since I needed to access my stuff. When I got
home, I vowed to find a better alternative for traveling. I wanted something that would coordinate with my suitcase (although it didn't have to match perfectly). It had to stay put on my suitcase. It had to hold a few books, a wallet, umbrella, iPad, a smaller purse/wallet, have a few interior pockets, but not be too large or bulky. I also needed to be reasonably sure that it would last and hold up during travel. I finally settled on the Town Tote and could not be happier. The backside has a bottom zipper that opens and I can slide it over my suitcase handle (when not traveling, close the zipper and you have an additional pocket). I can carry this like a purse. It fits my size requirements. It stores under the airplane seat. When I'm not traveling, it looks good enough to carry as a purse. The lining is a lighter color, which makes it easier to find items on the inside. The smaller interior pouch (shown in the picture) was a nice bonus. If you must carry an expensive
designer label, you won't like this bag. Otherwise, it is a great find and an exceptional accessory.
