Great work shoe that can go places too
I bought this style of shoe for work. I work in accounting in a manufacturing environment, so steel toed shoes are required. I love them. They are comfortable and I wear them to work everyday and also where them around town because they look so non-
industrial!! I did not purchase these from Zappos, but be sure you are ordering the right size, I had to take my first pair back because they were too large (so you might want to consider going with the smaller size if you are between sizes)

Great look but...
Ordering the UK size that supposedly matched the US size I wear was a bad plan. They're now being exchanged for the corrected size. Use caution when ordering as far as size goes. For me, a 13US wearer, the 12UK (which supposedly is a 13US) was too small.

Good work shoe -
I've worn these
steel toe shoes for over three years and they've easily been the most comfortable and durable work shoe I've ever owned. I'm an engineer at a shipyard, which requires me to crawl around the ships to be where the work is taking place. This shoe has been good and stable for
climbing up and down ladders and crawling around in bilges. There are only a couple of cons to owning these shoes. First is that they're a brushed leather which shows scuffs. I later rubbed them with mink oil and now they're a nice smooth leather. The second is that they're so comfortable that I wear them everywhere. So I travel with them forgetting that the
steel toe is going to jam me up at the security check points at the airports. And for those of you who have never owned
steel toes, they're hot in the summer and freeze your toes in the winter. I bought these shoes from the work boot guy who visits the shipyard in his truck so I was able to try them on without having to dork around with the size conversion.

Finally, a solid work shoe -
I work as a restaurant manager and am constantly on my feet. Therfore, I demand a great shoe. My company requires that we wear a non-slip shoe and this one works great! I've had my Docs for two weeks now and love them more and more every day. They only took about four shifts at work to break in nicely. As you can imagine, I put my shoes to the test. I walk for miles a day at work, through grease, food and beer that somehow ends up on the floors. Great, so far!

5 STARS, NOT OFTEN YOU BUY THE SAME SHOE TWICE -
This shoe is absolutely amazing. I bought my first pair of Doc's 3 years ago and this was the pair I got. 3 years later I just ordered the same shoe again. That's how great this shoe is. Love the way this shoe looks and feels. I'm 6'3" and 265 pounds, needless to say I'm very hard on my shoes. I've blown pairs of Timberlands and similar shoes apart after 4 months. This shoe is so well made I think it may be near indestructable. Love the way the square toe looks too. Tres cool.

Dr. Scholls vs.
Dr Martens -
Shoe is okay. I was slightly disappointed with the construction of the floor of the shoe. It was constructed with two separate pieces of material one which began to peel up after the second wear. I have resorted to placing a Dr. Scholls type gel insert to reduce the irritation of the floor peeling. I am speculating that this problem only occurs with the
steel toe model for some reason, as I didn't see any other poor reviews.

Very comfortable for a steel toed shoe -
First off, I was amazed that I received my order just two days after placing it and I have been enjoying my DMs ever since. This was my first pair of Dr. Martins and I am now forever a customer. Being a steel-toed shoe, I thought they would be unbarably heavy; however, these shoes are very comfortable.
