Thrilled. My favorite summer shoe, growing up, was a soft moc. Over the last 20 years, I've had my eye out for a brand that fit my foot well --- the cost wasn't even an issue. I've bought more than a few, and been disappointed, in general, even with top brands
. I thought, perhaps that my older feet just didn't like the lack of structure any more. Well --- after seeing the quality of the Frye boots
, I gave it one last try. I'm so glad I did! This is like a custom fit for my foot. (I have a narrow heel, and a medium forefoot.) There is a decent amount of cushioning, an arch support
, and nice enough leather that I can go barefoot in them. They have the ample toe room that I need. (I vary by 1/2 size in my shoes, and these were the smaller of the two.) I was a little afraid of the "burnt red", but they're a beautiful rusty color, in person. Thank you Frye
and Zappos. I may even look for another color in my size.
