I have a worn this style of
Timberland boot for years...and here is why: Comfort - nice cushioning and light weight (relative to others). No hooks, just eyes. The 'hooks' that laces wrap around on other
boots get bent closed, through the course of a workday, causing the laces to get trapped behind the bent hook. This makes removing your
boots and the end of the day and exercise in tug of war. This isn't that case with these, they only have 'eye' holes for lace retention.
