Just got these in the mail today. My daughter wears a WIde shoe from Stride Rite. We had never tried this Umi brand which are listed as wide. The shoes didn\'t fit my daughter around the ankle! It was so strange. The velcro was open so wide that each side of the velcro didn\'t adequately meet each other for closure. It\'s not like my daughter has massive ankles! Every other pair of shoes in Stride Rite and Jumping Jack wide sizes has closed normally. Also, the floor of the shoe was fairly narrow. I wouldn\'t describe these shoes as being wide.
