What can I say? I love these
boots! I was skeptical about buying shoes online. I don't have an arch and as a result my feet tend to spread when I stand. Because of this, I've always felt more comfortable trying my shoes on before making a commitment but after a frustrating day of shopping for just what I wanted on one rainy Wednesday afternoon, I decided to give Zappos a chance. I had very specific qualifications. I wanted a black boot with a square toe, not rounded, not pointed. I wanted a stylish boot, but not of synthetic materials. I wanted a boot that would seamlessly transfer from work to casual and I wanted something comfortable to walk in as I work downtown and am often "pounding" the city streets. I searched carefully and compared styles and designers and decided to take the plunge with the guarantee that I could easily return my purchase if I was not happy. Wow! What a find! They feel comfortable because of the rubber sole, they look great (with
skirts, slacks,
jeans, whatever) and I've received so many compliments on them. Hooray for me! I was a little worried about the combination of leather and suede in rainy Vancouver, but it hasn't been an issue. They are obviously not weatherproof
boots, but I've worn them in light to moderate rain without a problem. Now, I've got a new
designer to watch out for (
Franco Sarto) and a new place to shop for shoes (Zappos)!
