I consider myself a stylish twenty-something and I'm through killing myself with painful 4inch (or higher) heels. I like to enjoy my nights out without the distraction of painful shoes. That being said, I purchased this
Annie Ester shoe in gold for a formal occasion. I had to wear these shoes for 4 hours, mostly walking and standing, which is why I needed a low comfortable heel but something tall enough that wouldn't let my long
dress drag on the ground. These shoes looked great. I especially like the straps, they are just right. The heel strap doesn't slip off since it's adjustable and the toe straps aren't too tight or in the wrong place. The gold is pretty and the little rhinestones are subtle but glint in the light. Classic styling that you can wear for many years. My one dissatisfaction was that at the end of my night the top heel structure of the shoe was sort of poking my heel from through the
insole. The shoe padding is somewhat inadequate- but I definitely plan to wear these again. I recommend sticking on a shoe petal or
insole pad. That would make these shoes perfect. These shoes are cute and comfortable enough for a woman of any age. Good deal for the price. True to size, good medium width.
Naturalizer makes the same shoe but without the adjustable heel strap.
