My six year loves these. They were a great alternative for a dressy shoe, as they're much more comfortable on her than your typical ballet flats. She can run around in them. I can't vouch for the wear and tear, as she doesn't wear them every day. Overall, I think they're a pretty good buy.

These are comfortable and FLEXIBLE, so they are much more like an athletic shoe. My daughter loves them and wears them daily. The sparklies chip off the toe, however, leaving white spots. She doesn’t seem to care, though.

Will turn heads - I've never received as many compliments on a pair of shoes as these, and I'm in the Imelda Marcos league of shoe ownership! Not for hiking long distances (the toe box is a bit tight and there's no real arch support), but they're comfortable enough for a work day or special night. The strap is adjustable, so you may be more comfortable ordering a half size up and taking in the strap.

Love this shoe! I love Stuart Weitzman and have this in black patent. Very comfortable and stylish. This shoe runs big. I usually wear a 7 but am lately buying 6-1/2, especially in Stuart Weitzman. You can't go wrong with this shoe.

Nice Sophisticated, Retro-ish (Wide Heel) Sling - First, just to be up front, I have 3 pairs of the "Selects" and 5 pairs of the "Sensuals" - need I say more...... The only reason I didn't fill out my collection with "Fevers" was that I couldn't take the 4" spikes. For those of you with younger legs, you're all lucky - they are a knockout stiletto heel if ever I say one. But, back to the plot on the "Selects"....... First, I like the classic cut of the SW shoes in general because they will never go out of style when paired with nice clothing. On the Selects, they are somewhat a conservative sling-back, but they are nicely cut on your foot and the strap is 1) slightly higher on your heel so it doesn't slip as much and 2) supported pretty far back on the inside of your foot so you don't have the constant need to reach down to pull it back up on your heel. I happen to like the cut of the heel - from the side it is definitely a nicely shaped high heel that doesn't look too thick but from the back, you see it is pretty wide (I think nearly 5/8ths to 3/4ths at the base) which makes these high heels extraordinarily stable when you are standing in them - your foot will not wobble along as you walk or stand in them. The wider heel also gives the shoe a slight retro look just to add some style. Trust me, I have a slightly higher pair of Pollini slingbacks that have a wider heel and I can stand in them all night even though they are nearly 4" because of the width of the cut and the width of the heel. In the black patent and bordo colors, they are definitely the plain, sophisticated corporate sling back with the heel height being the key feature to emphasize the sexiness of the shoe when you wear them. I also have them in the quasar red and when I wear them with anything, I feel like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz and all eyes definitely shift to you since the candy apple red brilliance is an automatic magnet for attention no matter what you have them matched with in clothing. Nice cut in the toe - a little toe cleavage exposed for those that care but not too much, and the height of the toe cut is nicely done so you don't get that problem with some shoes where they don't have enough vertical height to let you wiggle some. Since they only come in Medium or narrower, I went for the Medium - I would have gone for Wide if they had it. It's just a little snug but they are already stretching some which is the same for all SWs and the sling lets you get away with a little narrower fit. Again, very nicely done sling from SW if you want modest style with a little pizzaz. The only other ones that I've considered are the Charles David "Level" (comes black and red, same heel height, but more stiletto-ish, which I also got in red) or their "Spence" model (which I saw but didn't get) and the Donna Karan "864961" designer slings which are very expensive as of this moment, a stiletto heel, 1/4" higher and only in black). Between the SW Selects and Charles David, if you want 3 1/2" slings you can wear to the office and at night, they have the best choices. Can't wait for the next SW heel to come............

Stuart Weitzman SELECT sling back shoe - The shoes are so much better than expected! I am so pleasantly surprised! At first, I was very skeptical about ordering a size 5 in this model because a SW size 5 is sometimes a half a size larger on me depending on the style of the shoe. I thought since this shoe is a sling back, that it might have some excess room in the back. But at the same time, I thought it wouldn't hurt to order the last pair of the size 5 in the SELECT model. I made the right decision; I am so lucky to have the last pair in a size 5, because this shoe is true to size. There's no need for shoe pads. I also love the pointy toe. The shoes are perfect not just because they are true to size; but because this pair has everything else. Stuart Weitzman did it again on this shoe: look, comfort, class, and versatility. The shoes are timeless! They are a keeper for me and I will wear them for many years to come!
