Fit and function.
For the last 3 or 4 years now, I've owned a pair of
Sebago Docksides. What I particularly like is the approximately 1" rubber cover between the leather top and sole. I found that they're quite resistant to water and seem to always look great.
The fit is very comfortable. Although, at times I hasten to say, it can "get my goat," the way leather laces somehow untie themselves.
Overall, I rate the shoes as a 5 Star. It's a pleasure to put them on.

I'm sold. I have had the pleasure of owning two pairs of Docksides in my life. The first pair lasted me 20 years! Prior to that, I was going through a pair of
Sperry Topsiders a year. The fit is fantastic and the soles seem to last forever. They are literally the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. Docksides are the only boat shoe for me!

Worth It!
My husband has a pair of original Docksides that he got when he was in high school - that was 16 years ago! They don't look their best anymore, and we've had to have them repaired once but they are definitely worth their price. Value still does exisit in America.

I am ordering a second pair of
Sebago Docksides for my husband as the pair he has now is completely "holy" but he will not let me throw them out. He has had them for years (We've been together for 8 years and he's had them way before then.) He has done everything but waterski with these shoes on so I think a second pair will be a nice surprise for his birthday.

Simply the best
This is the only boat shoe worth the money. I owned a pair for years and finally wore them out but it took some doing. They are the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. They are worth the money and not easy to find.
Sperry seems to be more on the shelves but given the choice I will track down the Docksides.

Bush Bashers
I've abused a pair of docksiders for the last 6 years, they have been in sea water, fresh water, bush walks on safari in South Africa, cruising in Russia, you name it they have been badly abused in every possible way(including having to attend reasonably formal functions!). They now need replacing, am I glad I found this site!!

Good Comfortable Shoe -
The shoes have fit well and are comfortable. They are great for someone who needs a wide shoe (4E) which is not easy to find in this style of shoe.

Sebago Docksides are the perfect summer shoe. They are unbelievably comfortable, timelessly stylish, and last forever.

Had to return these and get them a half size smaller. My son loves these, and he is very particular. The wide width was perfect for him. They were comfortable walking long distances immediately, without
socks!
