Loved the look of these boots, but they were wide in the calf and ankle. Jane 14 are much better and smaller!

I was looking for a wide calf boot but I was disappointed when I received the first pair as the quality seemed very poor. The boots were cut unevenly at the top cuff and were wavy. The front cuff of one boot had rippled leather. It looked like cheaply glued leather. The back shaft of the other boot looked the same way. When I put the boots on and walked, the heels sounded like hollow plastic heels. I found it hard to believe that Frye would make such cheap boots. I sent the first pair back and reordered hoping I had just gotten a lemon. The leather on the shaft of the 2nd pair of boots looked better but there was a defect on the side seam of one boot, where the leather had been cut and not dyed - so there was a long seam of untreated leather which stood out sharply against the dark brown leather. These went back too. I finally ordered directly from Frye and the boots are great. Excellent quality leather, good heels, not hollow plastic. I usually wear a size 8, but ordered a size 8.5 in this boot and it fit fine (with a medium weight sock). I have larger calves and these fit fine with room to spare for tights. Thank goodness Zappos has free shipping both ways and excellent customer service.

These boots are beautiful. I was worried they would be too tall since I am only 5'2''. The shaft fits well. They are tight to the calves but still very easy to have jeans tucked in. The only problem I have is my heel lifts a bit. I ordered another pair hoping for a better fit in the heel but they are exactly the same. I’m still trying to decide whether to keep them. I might try the strappy style.

I was looking for a cute, but comfortable, tall boot, but I was worried that getting Frye's would result in pain. I was wrong! These boots are super cute (I get so many compliments) and they're comfortable! I have the Veronica slouches, which are cute, but really uncomfortable. The Jane's are so comfortable. I'm on my feet for 7 hours a day and these boots support me through every minute of it. I have wide calves, wide feet, and high arches. These fit perfectly and true to size. Love them!

These boots go with everything. Ordered a 7 1/2 medium and they fit very well, I have room for thicker sock than I had expected, which is great. Love the beat up look and color. Works great with leggings, jeans or skirts!

Best boots ever! These are my 2nd pair of Frye boots and they are amazing! They have just enough heel to be sexy but are extremely comfortable. They look great with skinny jeans and dresses/skirts. The only downfall is that they are hard to get on, my other Frye's were also so I wasn't surprised. But once they are on, they are smokin'.

I love these boots. They are incredibly comfortable. Although the ankle is a bit roomy, the calves fit wonderfully over my chunky little legs. I have worn these every day since I got them (full disclosure- this was last week) and my feet have rarely felt better.

I LOVE these boots! They fit true to size and are extremely comfortable. They go well with skinny jeans, dresses, and skirts. I have athletic calves and these boots are perfect for me. I can even comfortably tuck in my skinny jeans without my calves feeling squished. Gorgeous boots and well worth the price! The stitching is beautiful! Buy them, you won't regret it! Worth the investment and I'm sure you'll have them for a long, long time!

The boots are perfect! much darker than I expected, but I like them better this way. I had bought the suede brown style, but the ankles feel because the leather was thin. Zappos was kind enough to exchange them for me, wonderful customer service.

Darn! I really wanted to not like these boots because of the cost, but it was love at first try-on. I have some other Frye boots that all feel larger than they are sized, but these fit true to size. I am a runner and have the calves to show for it, and these boots fit very nicely without being too loose. I have the Taupe color, which is a lovely, rich, spicy brown. I wore these with skinny jeans on a downtown shopping trip the first day I got them. Not only were they comfortable right out of the box for lots and lots of walking, but I got so many compliments on them! These are my favorite Fryes by far.

I am devastate, these are GORGEOUS SHOES but a half size too large. I am a very reliable size 5 but was walking right out of these. I could put a whole finder in between my heel and the shoe. Very disappointing because otherwise... wowsers. Having said that the heel is very high so don't try these unless you have Barbie feet and/or are 28 years old or under. (I have/am neither one but if we all weren't in denial, Zappos would be out of business.) The point is these are everything you could want a sexy but classy shoe to be: yummy high-quality suede, rich color, perfectly proportioned, classic styling, but at least in the size 5, order a half-size smaller.

I have long been a fan of Franco Sarto. Career friendly with a little edge. These shoes were purchased for my winter wardrobe to wear with opaque tights and a pencil skirt for work, or a dinner party. Very versatile! One problem: The sizing is off. I have been a 9.5 for 35 years and this shoe was too big, but I think that the 9 would have been tight. I bought some gel inserts to fill in the space but it didn't help. When I took them off at the end of a charity event on Saturday night I could barely walk. This has never happened before! I could not believe the pain. I am sad because I really love the look of these shoes. Sadly, they will sit in the box forever.

Extremely comfortable shoes, true to size, very elegant. I recommend these shoes even for long period of time. Good on feet. Arch support good.

These are a fabulous pair of shoes. They are comfortable, the red color in the suede is a rich, deep color, the heel is a bit larger than most and that makes them easy to wear. I especuially like that the platform is moderate. The look and feel like a much more expensive pair of shoes.

The shoe is very stylish. I am a teacher so I stand most of the day. I wore them for the first time and was able to keep them on for 3 hours before they began to hurt my feet.I will continue to "break them in" and see how they feel the next time.

Wow...I have a few pairs of Franco Sarto heels in size 10, but they're sandals and they are on the verge of being too short for the length of my foot so I ordered size 11 of these. They fit more like a size 10! They are a great classic style that seem like they'd be a comfortable work heel if you get the right fit.

Just what I was looking for! This shoe is classic, but not stuffy. I am a stay at home mom, but I need something that works for church or Girls Night Out. These are easy to wear and perfect. I am very happy!

I really wanted these shoes because they are so pretty! Very stylish and make you feel very feminine. I was disappointed because my heel kept coming out so I didn't think they were going to be able to work. However, I got the foot pads that go under the ball of your foot and it makes the shoe perfect! No more sliding out. Even with the pads they are very comfortable and stable. Great heel. Love them!

This is a beautiful shoe, comfortable...however...I would wear it to work and church so why is the heel so high? I would like to see more cute shoes in kitten heel or two inch heels.

Yes these shoes are gorgeous and they make your legs look long and thin, but they are just way too stiff and they hurt your feet when you walk. I guess that they may be "broken in" over time, but the leather is just so stiff. I think that the leather has to be a bit softer to start out with in order to be "broken in" easily. Otherwise they're just another pair of gorgeous shoes that hurt your feet.
