Close but not quite - I've been looking for a long time for some flat
boots that will fit my problem feet (hammertoes, very high insteps/arches, narrow heels,
orthotics). These
boots were close, but not quite right for me! They are very wide in the toes which is great for anyone who needs a little extra room in the toes. The
insole is very thick and removable, so these
boots can accommodate
orthotics; however, once you remove the
insole the remaining sole is very thin, flat, and flexible (no support at all). The
insoles do have some
arch support, though no
arch support actually touches my arch so I can't really comment on how good it is! The
boots also rub the back of my heel, but I'm not sure if that would improve after wearing them a while. Ultimately I am returning these
boots because they just don't have enough depth through the front of my instep with the included
insole, but don't fit quite right with my
orthotics either. But they are still worth a try if you're looking for a flat boot with a wider toe box or a removable
insole! These
boots are not very flattering, though I think they look slightly better than
Uggs and similar styles due to the more rounded shape in the toe and sole. But I didn't really expect a flat winter boot to look that great!
