Wish they still made these durable shoes. Excellent water resistance, wide and sure footed feeling. I've had two pair of these for use at the office and outside daily wear. A very durable shoe. After a coating of road salt and left to dry they clean up like new with a brush and some water.

Just unreal quality - I remember in my dad's day, after WWII, he had a nice collection of real leather shoes. The local shoemaker wasn't there because he could not afford new shoes; he was there to repair quality leather shoes. These remind me of days of old; real quality and worth taking care of. These are nothing like the shoes that are foreign made and shipped to the US today, and sell for $40 and hurt your feet, legs and lower back. The Mephisto shoe is strong, durable, made of the finest leather, take well to treatment, and if cared for, are built to last for decades. Anyone with hurting feet would do well to spend the money on Mephisto rather than continuing to go through the cheap shoes, wasting money and having hurting feet. A man once told me that he would spend $100 on a pair of used Mephistos than spend the same $100 on ANYTHING brand new. That made a lot of sense. Diabetics, and others with hurting feet, legs and back, would do well to look into this old-world quality shoe. Mephisto comfort is worth every penny.

Extremly satisfied - I own many Mephisto shoes, I have been wearing them since 1975 when I became aware of how important good,comfortable, well made shoes are. I had been suffering from sore ankles and feet, not wanting to spend much money on shoes...Since then,I look for good deals on GOOD SHOES, and Mephisto are excellent shoes for me. I must own over fifty pairs!

These require no break in time. Very comfortable and looks Great!
