Great looking basic shoe. I can never decide between Salomon, Keen or Merell...all are great outdoor shoes.

First off, I have worn every trail runner Salomon has. This is without a doubt the best runner for the price...yeah, the Goretex is great. Yeah, speed cross are for down and dirty running. But for all you cheap runners like myself that like to punish shoes to see exactly what they’re made of, this runner will hold up in a bike, a swim, and a run through the mountains in one day. I haven’t seen any substantial wear on the sole. Easy to wipe down. Dries out fast. Great!!!

Great shoes, good air flow since the fabric on top breathe a lot. They’re comfortable; I wear them everyday at work. I also like the laces; they’re not the typical laces, but the ones with the little plastic widget; no need to tie them, just pull on the plastic thingy and that’s it.

These sneakers are keepers. I really like Salomon's footbeds -- they always seem to be very sculpted, with a pronounced arch, so there is a lot of support. These particular sneakers also have a very tight heel cup that really grips your heel. It makes the fit very stable but a little tight. Salomon, in my opinion, runs a little small and the perception of smallness is perhaps enhanced by the sculpting within the shoe. Although these sneakers have a mesh top for good ventilation, I find my feet sweating on the sole because the grip is so tight there is little air circulation. They are lightweight yet very stable, and I get compliments. I bought these for a trip where I will be on my feet 14 hours a day for a week, and I think they will help me survive it.

3rd pair of Salomon, love the shoes but the OrthoLite pads wear out quickly. Contacting Salomon for replacements is a serious pain, but if you can get a hold of them they will send replacements.

I returned this shoe because there is an inside seam on the inner upper material that is not very comfortable. It’s too bad because it’s a good looking shoe.

Simply the worst shoes I ever wore. Worked fine for walking to my car, after that not so much. I had blisters on my heels, ankles and toes after a 2 hour walk.
