My son is 6 and lives for the sweatpants/sporty look. However, we wanted him to have some nicer looking shoes for going to the theatre, visiting grandparents and other '
dress up' events. I wasn't sure what he would think of these, but he loves them and said that they were really comfortable. The shoes are GREAT looking - even better in person! Couldn't be happier. Both my husband and I want them, too! First Zappos review - I hope this helps someone else like all of the reviews have helped me.

My 8 year old son loves these shoes. He has a little bit of a high instep and these shoes don't seem to bother him at all. The rubber on the toes keeps the shoes from getting scuffed and the material is very durable. They are a wonderful alternative to
sneakers. I'll go through great lengths to get my son to wear something other than high top
basketball shoes, and it appears I didn't have to go all that far. Even he admits they are super comfortable, even though they are not "in" shoes. He will be wearing these throughout the fall and winter this year!

These shoes rock! The overall quality, material & craftsmanship are awesome! My son has a slightly wide foot & these are the perfect fit for him! He wears his shoes hard -- no doubt these will last!

I bought these shoes for my 8 year old son last year and again this year. With other shoes he wears through the bottom in about 2 months. The
Keen shoes lasted an entire year until he out grew them. He reports they are comfortable and I think they are a nice looking shoe.

These are very nice shoes for a child with wide feet. They seem to be very durable except for the first pair I received; right out of the box, one of the eyelets were broken. Zappos sent a new pair right away and I got them the very next day.

sneaker for my son with wide feet (it fits wide, which is what we were looking for). He wanted a shoe that didn't make his feet as hot as the waterproof
keens do, and these seem to work for him. The black ones are a really nice looking shoe too.
